1963 (February) POR Amendments - Skater Badge


In good style skate the following:

1) curve forward outside, curve forward inside, both for about 15 ft., or on rollers 12 ft.

2) Curve back outside for about 8 ft., or on rollers 6 ft.

Note: A holder of the certificate of the Preliminary Ice Figure Skating tests of the National Skating Association of Great Britain qualifies for the badge.

1964 (March) POR - Skater Badge


In good style, skate the following:

1) Curve forward outside, curve forward inside, both for about 15 ft., or on rollers 12 ft.

2) Curve back outside for about 8 ft., or on rollers 6 ft.

1973 Brownie Handbook - Skater Badge


In good style skate the following:

1) Curve forward outside, curve forward inside, both for about 5m., or on rollers 4m.

2) Curve back outside for about 2.5 m., or on rollers 2m.

Note: if you hold the certificate of the Preliminary Ice Figure or Roller Figure Skating tests of the National Skating Association of Great Britain you can have your Brownie Skater Badge too.

1980 Brownie Handbook - Skater Badge


To gain your Brownie Skater Badge, on ice or rollers, you must pass Grades 1 to 6 of the Elementary Tests of the National Skating Association of Great Britain.

Note: You can get a copy of these tests by writing to National Skating Association of Great Britain, 117 Charterhouse Street, London EC1M 6AT.  Send them a stamped envelope addressed to yourself, which measures at least 23cm x 10cm.

1983 Brownie Handbook - Skater Badge
