1) Sing one verse of 'God Save The King'.
2) Sing a song of her own choice and one of the following:
Clarendon Song Book I:
I have a little pony (English trad.).
I saw three ships (English trad.).
Child's cradle song (arr. Brahms).
The pet chicken (arr. Brahms).
Wee Willie Gray (Scottish trad.).
Clarendon Song Book II: 
O can ye sew cushions (Scottish trad. correct version).
Lazy Robin (Welsh trad.).
Note: The Clarendon Song Books are obtainable from C.H.Q.
3) Tap a rhythm played by the tester.
4) Sing one octave of a major scale downwards.
Note: The choice of song is to be taken into account by the tester.

1973 Brownie Handbook - Singer Badge


1) Sing one verse of 'God Save the Queen' and the Brownie Song.

2) a) Sing two songs you have chosen yourself because you enjoy them.  One of these must be a Folk Song of the British Isles.  The tester will be interested to know why you enjoy these songs.

b) Sing your favourite hymn or a song of your own choice.

3) Clap the pattern of a well known tune and ask the tester to guess it.

4) Sing one octave of a major scale downwards.
