1947 POR - Ranger Service Star Part IV


1) Be able to deal with outbreak of fire (including forest or moorland fires) and know how to use at least one type of fire extinguisher.

2) Be able to deal with the following:

Severe bleeding, asphyxiation (including electrical shock), fractures (for prevention of further injury), wounds and burns.

3) Be able to take clear messages and give precise directions to strangers in her own neighbourhood.


Before completing the Ranger Service Star a Ranger should have read the Ranger Health Book, How to be Healthy - and Wise, and show that she has made an effort to improve her health and appearance.

1950 POR - Ranger Service Star Part IV
