A Guide must satisfy examiners in:
Measuring heights of tower, chimney, spire, or tree, width of river or field, by system given.
Fell a nine-inch tree to the required direction, or chop firewood neatly.
Build small model bridge for herself for crossing river, or else bring a wooden stool, or bracket, or box with lid, of her own making.
Build a hut of one kind or another suitable for three occupants; or alternatively make a camp kitchen for thirty people.

1918 POR - Pioneer Badge
Show knowledge of how to choose and prepare a camp site with suitable sanitary arrangements.
Build a hut or shelter for three occupants. (May be a model built to scale).
Make a camp kitchen with trench and chimney.
Chop firewoood neatly.
Erect a tripod and build a small model bridge.

1919 POR - Pioneer Badge

1921 POR - Pioneer Badge

Must hold the Cook's Badge, having passed the test on a camp kitchen, and know how to collect, chop and stack suitable firing.
Must construct a model of a single lock-bridge and improvise some useful camp accessory (e.g. candlestick, hanger, etc.).
Must make three of the following: 1) A camp mattress. 2) A washing cubicle. 3) An airing screen. 4) A refuse pit. 5) A haybox or pit. 6) A camp larder. 7) A flagstaff. 8) A kit-bag. 9) A palliasse cover. 10) A shelter.
Must organize three suitable Scouting games.

1924 POR - Pioneer Badge
