1930 POR - Mauve First Class


This badge is awarded to Guides of Extension and ordinary companies who for reasons of ill-health are unable to swim or to take some other part of the First Class Test.  If a doctor's certificate is given stating that the Ranger or Guide is unable to swim, the Health badge may be taken as an alternative.  Forms for Guides in ordinary companies who wish to take further alternatives must be obtained from the Head of the Extension branch.  Guides in Extension companies may use the alternatives given in the "Extension Book".  

The Mauve First Class badge qualifies for Mauve Cords, but not for All-Round Cords or Gold Cords.
