
1947 POR - Cadet Investiture
Before investiture a recruit must work for three months in the company and pass a test drawn up by the Court of Honour, and including:
a) A special challenge to each particular girl according to her needs, this to be decided by the candidate in consultation with the Court of Honour.
Note - It is suggested that an overnight hike in tent or barn will be a suitable test for an average Cadet. Any alternative should include equal opportunities for adventure and enjoyment, and should aim at developing initiative, self-reliance, endurance and a sense of responsibility.)
b) A high personal standard of appearance, manners and reliability. This test should be taken within a year of entry into the company.

1950 POR - Cadet Investiture

This challenge should aim at developing initiative, self-reliance, endurance and a sense of responsibility, and should include equal opportunities for adventure and enjoyment such as an overnight hike in tent or barn, or some form of adventurous expedition by day.
b) A high personal standard of appearance, manners and reliability. This test should be taken within a year of entry into the company.

1965 (July) POR - Cadet Investiture Test
Qualification
a) Work for three months in the company.
b) Attain a high standard of personal appearance, manners and reliability.
c) The Promise and Law. In accordance with the religious policy of the Association (see Rule 4) a Cadet is expected throughout her training to do all she can to deepen her religious faith and her understanding of the Promise and Law.
Test
This test is drawn up by each Company to suit its own particular needs. It must include a special challenge that has been decided and planned by the candidate in consultation with the Comapny and/or the Cadet Guider. The challenge to the candidate must be one that helps her to develop her own personality. This may be achieved, for example, in an overnight hike; an adventurous exhibition; or a day's exploration of an area unknown to the candidate (making a record of what she has discovered, e.g. history, architecture, industry, nature, etc.).
This test should be taken within a year of entry into the company.
